On Sunday it was mother’s day in France and as it was my first, I was beyond excited about it. I was counting to the day like it was my birthday, and I also knew I was going to treat myself with a nice piece of jewelry for the occasion.

I will certainly write about it later on, when I’ll take you to our special trip last year in May, in Mexico. I discovered Merci Maman and I ordered a bracelet to surprise my husband when we found out the pregnancy and I was secretly waiting for a good occasion to also buy myself a piece of personalized hand-graved jewelry for myself.

I picked a golden disc with Augustin James and his birth date on the back, with a golden beaded necklace. I’m so happy with the result and can’t stop looking at it, with his tiny hand on my chest when I’m nursing him.

You can shop the Merci Maman range on their website, I love this brand because the pieces are made in France by mums and it was created by a French lady that lives in London. And Kate Middleton also has her own necklace, how chic is that !

The dress is my favorite pattern, Eugénie from Atelier Scammit already worn during my pregancy here and the scarf is Hermès, for the hairstyle I braided my hair overnight and also used my clip in hair extensions for a big puffy hairstyle.

Dimanche c’était ma première fête des mères, et j’étais toute contente de pouvoir la fêter en France avec mon petit Augustin. J’étais impatience comme si c’était mon anniversaire !

Pour l’occasion je me suis offert un joli bijou symbolique puisqu’il est personnalisé avec les prénoms et la date de naissance de mon fils.

Ce collier vient du site Merci Maman, je vous en reparlerai plus tard, car lors de notre voyage au Mexique j’ai offert à monsieur un bracelet personnalisé lui annonçant qu’il était papa de cette marque.

J’avais déjà pensé que lorsque babyboy serait né je voulais un bijou avec son prénom pour l’avoir toujours contre moi.

Merci Maman est une marque que j’affectionne particulièrement car les bijoux sont gravés en France par des mamans et la fondatrice est une française qui vit à Londres. Le comble du chic ? Kate Middleton a aussi son collier personnalisé avec les prénoms de ses enfants.

J’espère que vous avez toutes passé une très bonne fête des mères avec vos enfants ! J’ai déjà hâte d’être l’année prochaine pour me rendre compte de l’évolution d’Augustin en un an !
