Hello !

Following the baby shower article, I need to tell you about the baby box I made for Virginie and her daughter Candice.

Virginie’s wedding color was yellow and she announced me she was pregnant by asking me if I could make her a yellow diamond pattern baby blanket. I was happy for her and started working on the blanket the following week she shared the good news.
The blanket was a challenge but because I had time I was able to make it nicely and slowly. Believe me or not, it’s one of the first time I made a knitting project with 2 colors.
The original pattern is by Weareknitters but you can also find it on YouTube, the video worked better for me, you can find the one I used here.

To go with this the blanket, I made 3 outfits. One in 3 months, a little peasant dress with gingham biais and a matching outfit for her doll.
One in 12 months, a pineapple sleeveless dress with the matching bow and pineapple earring for Virginie
One in 18 months, a knotted very light summer dress in a yellow flowery fabric, with a big bow (Virginie loves a good bow 😉 and matching bloomers.

Virginie was very happy of her gift and seeing someone who appreciate my work and effort is always rewarding.
As I’m beyond late for this article, I can already tell you Candice looks very cute in the 3 months dress with her matching dolly !

Pour continuer sur le thème de la baby shower, voici le cadeau de naissance de la petite Candice. Comme la couleur du mariage de Virginie était jaune et que je ne suis pas fan du rose partout, j’ai gardé ce clin d’oeil pour cette baby box. 

Virginie m’a annoncé sa grossesse en me demandant de lui faire une couverture jaune et blanche de Weareknitters et j’ai donc adapté le modèle avec un coton citron et blanc cassé. J’ai commencé la couverture dès l’annonce en Septembre pour qu’elle soit prête en Mars ! Voici la vidéo que j’ai utilisée pour ce modèle.

Pour aller avec la couverture, j’ai fait 3 tenues jaunes, une robe jaune avec un biais Vichy en 3 mois, et la même tenue pour sa poupée achetée par la future mamie. 

Pour l’été suivant, une robe à nouer en tissu fleuri et une robe ananas avec petit noeud  et bloomer assorti. 

Virginie était très contente de sa boite et j’ai déjà vu Candice dans sa petite robe jaune/vichy qui était très mignonne.
