Hello !

Giverny has been on my bucket list for a long time and I never took the time to go there when we were in Paris. Because we decided to come back to Paris by car, I was excited to go there with my sister and her boyfriend. The messieurs were not that thrilled to go and see flowers but the girls couldn’t wait to see the Nymphéas scenery. The house of Monet was beautiful and the gardens even more impressive. It gave me so much inspiration for my future garden ! I love the tulips and all of the colors around the ponds. 

If you have time when you go to Paris and you like enjoying  peaceful gardens. I can highly recommend to see Monet’s house, it’s around 1h15 away from Paris city center but it gives you a good atmosphere of a small village with a very strong artist touch. 

I worn Aunt Edith’s shirt that I cut to make a Bardot top. It was a high collar blouse with puffy sleeves and a long ankle matching skirt, beside going to a fancy party with it, I couldn’t wear it ! It was also very over-sized and after a bit of alteration, it turned into something really fashionable. Giverny is a place I recommend you to visit if you come to France, it’s a magical garden and it was such a great source of inspiration for my future garden ! It’s better to go in Spring and I would say first thing it the morning so you can avoid the crowd and have the garden on your own.

Aujour’hui je vous emmène à Giverny, le village du peintre Monet. J’avais mis Giverny dans ma bucket list de Paris mais nous n’avions jamais pris le temps d’y aller. Comme nous sommes allés à Paris en voiture, nous en avons profiter pour faire une excursion à Giverny avec ma soeur et son amoureux.

Ces messieurs n’étaient pas très impressionnés par le jardin en fleurs, mais nous avons bien apprécié la visite ! Et surtout le bassin des Nymphéas. Je vous conseille une visite au printemps, il y a un peu plus de monde mais au moins les fleurs sont en fleurs et le jardin est digne d’un tableau. Giverny est à peu près à 1h15 de Paris en voiture, et les jardins + la maison sont ouverts au public. J’ai beaucoup aimé la cuisine toute jaune.

Pour l’occasion, je porte un chemisier de tatie Edith, c’était un chemisier avec de jolies manches ballons bien bouffantes et un col mao, avec la jupe jusqu’au pied assortie. Autant vous dire qu’à part pour une soirée « petite maison dans la prairie » je n’aurai pas pu le remettre tel quel ! J’ai coupé le chemisier pour en faire un top « bardot » et je n’ai pas eu besoin de retoucher les côté. J’ai monté le tout sur élastique, et pour le style, je porte le top avec les boutons dans le dos. Porté avec mes baskets à paillette et des boucles d’oreilles Madame Daniel Designs vert sapin, voilà une tenue parfaite pour explorer ce chef-d’oeuvre botanique !
