First outfit of the year !
Today is a working day outfit. What to wear in the office or for a professional cocktail. New year is all about new year parties and cocktails with colleagues or business partner. As I now work in the city of London I get to experience the busy working-going out life, mainly going to the pub I have to admit !
So how to look professional, stylish and feminine ? This is the outfit I pick.
Red pants for a little twist, everyone wears black pants so red will make you stand out. Colorful pants are easier to match than we think. A black or white shirt will always look good with any color. If you never bought a colorful why don’t you try to find one on sale, get a nice cut/color for less and tell me if you like wearing it or not 😉
I chose to wear a a lacey white blouse to keep things classical. My Hermès belt for the bling and a tweed jacket for the Jackie Kennedy in me, add a pair of high heels et voilà !
I would keep the shoes in my drawer and wear them for the party not all day like all girls do here ! I always find it funny to see people walking in the office with sneakers and then 5 min later some girls would be in their 15cm stilettos and man in office shoes.
No one wear nice shoes outside of the office so the good thing is : it keeps them clean and new, but bad thing : people have terrible style in the tube ! Big neon sneakers with tight skirts is not a good combo, but I guess style can be sacrificed for Healthy feet. The difference between French and British, I guess we would choose small/medium heels or a nice pair of ballerina shoes and wear it all day rather than looking bad with the sneakers and having to carry the heels in our purse. Bur once you’ve tried the sneakers, it’s hard to go back to heels especially in the tube or when it rains !

Première tenue de l’année youhou !
Aujourd’hui je vous présente une tenue professionnelle mais avec un petit côté fun. Janvier est le mois où pas mal d’entreprise ont leur cocktail de début d’année. Alors comment avoir l’air professionnelle, stylée et féminine à la fois ?
Pour essayer d’avoir ces 3 points j’ai choisi un pantalon de tailleur rouge. Je voulais garder une tenue pantalon de tailleur/chemisier/veste très classique en y rajoutant ma petite touche colorée.
Les pantalons de couleurs sont plus facile à porter que l’on ne le croit. Un chemisier blanc ou noir ira toujours avec un pantalon original. C’est une variante que je vous conseille d’essayer ( et pourquoi pas en solde ? Cest le moment de trouver un joli pantalon coloré bien coupé et soldé !)
Pour aller avec, un petit chemiser avec une pointe de dentelle blanc. Je préfère porter mes pantalons de tailleur avec une ceinture et j’ai choisi celle ci pour le côté bling bling. Une veste en tweed pour mon côté Jackie Kennedy Et voilà ! Pour ce qui est des chaussures j’aime porter des talons hauts pour les soirées, comme je ne suis pas grande, les talons me donnent un peu plus de hauteur et me forcent à me tenir droite.
Je dois avouer que je me suis mise à la mode anglaise: venir en basket et mettre ses talons la journée au bureau. C’était difficile la première fois de mettre des baskets avec une jupe, mais on s’y fait ! J’ai souri les premiers jours où je voyais mes collègues arriver en bottes en plastique dans le hall et hop 5 min assises à leurs bureaux et les bottes avaient disparues pour une paire d’escarpins de 15 cm ! A en voir certaine marcher sur la moquette, elle devraient plutôt choisir des chaussures à petit talons et les porter toute la journée plutôt que d’être sur des échasses et ne pas savoir marcher avec… Mais Ca c’est la petite remarque de la française. C’est une façon de faire différente mais il est vrai qu’une fois qu’on a goûté aux baskets dans le métro on a du mal à remettre les talons, surtout les jours de pluie !

j’adore ta tenue !!!!! aller au travail en baskets je comprend mais porter des talons de 12 alors que l’on ne sais pas au bureau ah non !!!!!
