Hello !

So let’s pick up where we were, after the ceremony we left by car, to have our theatrical exit, but also to have few minute for ourselves right after the ceremony, so Yoris could catch the emotion and the feelings on our faces. So we basically drove and turn around the building so he could meet us on the other side. We had our first couple photos, it was so great to huge each other and kiss. After 10 min we went back to the ceremony place so we could welcome everyone. It was so hot and I had a great idea, in case of hot weather I planned to use a wheelbarrow, as a bottle handler. It turns out great, so if you have a wedding/birthday/party and you need fresh drink, a brouette can be very handy and perfect to transport bottles of any drinks. We actually put the wheelbarrow in the cold room of the catering kitchen and we just brought it to the ceremony so people could drink iced cold water. And let me tell you it was  more than needed ! Lulu’s dad let me borrowed his wheelbarrow and he even painted it in silver and white so it fits in theme.

After the rehydration and the greetings, we all went to visit the underground wine cellars, this was perfect to cool down, especially with my huge dress ! As I lost my husband in the cellar, I took a photo with my cousin, who is a policeman and was wearing his uniform, it looks so fancy and it was perfect for the family photo coordination I used him as a maestro so he could put some order on the different groups. We took my favorite photo during the little tour, the black and white « princess kiss photo » is my favorite, it pictures perfect the moment. I think I might get it printed on a big canvas for our house !

After the visit, we launched the cocktail party ! Champagne, oyster bar, Foie Gras cut by a waiter and a spanish ham cutting spot was not only pretty for the eyes but also perfect for the hungry tummies ! I wish I did have to take the group photo so I could have had more Foie Gras, but now that I see the photos I can’t have regrets !

We had fun taking theses photos, with the families, friends, men and women so we could have everyone on a least on one photo !

We had the cocktail for a long time from 6pm to 8:30pm but it was so  sunny and it allows us to talk with everyone and even sit for a little while ! Maybe it’s not the same everywhere but in France we usually have guests for the cocktail party and then a smaller number of people for the diner, so we had 150 guests for the ceremony and cocktail and 110 guests for the diner, we  usually keep diner for family and close friends.

When we were ready to launch diner, I ask the kids to go around the groups and use their chalk board to say « A table », « let’s eat ». I asked the boy to ring the bell as much as they could, they were so happy ! I had to promise them candies too, and believe me they honored my candy bar , but this, I will tell you next time …

Coucou ! 

Reprenons où nous en étions ! Nous avons quitté la cérémonie en voiture pour avoir une petite sortie théatrale, et que tout le monde puisse voir notre banderole « just married ». Nous avons retrouvé Yoris, quelques mètres plus loin pour prendre des photos de couple « sur le vif », sur ces photos nous sommes encore sous le choc, et on se dit c’est bon ? C’est pour de vrai ? on est mariés ???

Après une dizaine de minute, nous avons retrouvé nos invités, et pour rafraichir tout ce beau monde nous avions prévu une brouette remplie de bouteilles d’eau fraiche. Et il faisait tellement chaud que tout le monde était bien content de pouvoir boire un peu d’eau. Après la petite pause, nous avons fait une traversée des chais de Smith Haut Lafitte avec une guide qui nous a expliqué l’histoire du château et du vin (j’avoue que j’ai fait la rebelle, j’étais au fond des chais avec le beau marié à faire des photos, j’ai pas écouté grand chose hi hi ). Nous avons fait ma photo préférée à ce moment là, celle en noir & blanc avec la pose de princesse est ma préférée, j’ai envie de la faire imprimer sur une toile pour la voir tous les jours et me souvenir de ce moment si unique !

Comme j’ai perdu mon mari dans les dédales de Smith, j’en ai profité pour faire une photo avec mon cousin, gendarme qui avait mis sa vareuse pour l’occasion, il était tellement élégant ! Et puis c’est un peu comme si lui et moi étions les deux pinpins à être déguisés ! Le cousin en uniforme c’est indispensable pour la photo de groupe, l’autorité de l’uniforme, parfait pour mettre tout le monde au pli ! Nous avons fait plein de photo de groupe, je me suis dis peut être que j’aurai dû être plus présente au cocktail

Nous avons ensuite lancé le cocktail qui a duré de 18h00 à 21h30, un long cocktail qui nous a permis de nous poser et de discuter avec les invités. Il faisait beau et le couché de soleil était très agréable.

Pour le cocktail nous avions du champagne bien sûr, une découpe de foie gras, mi cuit et foie gras au vin rouge, une découpe de jambon de Bayonne, et une barque d’huitres du bassin d’Arcachon. Nous avions 150 personnes à la cérémonie et au cocktail et nous étions 110 à table. Une fois que le cocktail touchait à sa fin, j’ai demandé aux enfants de jouer leurs rôles : les petits garçons devaient aller sonner la cloche le plus fort possible, et les petites filles passer entre les invités pour les faire se mettre « à table ! ». Evidemment j’ai du leur promettre plein de bonbons pour qu’ils le fassent, et laisser moi vous dire qu’ils ont fait honneur à mon candybar !! Mais ça c’est pour le prochain épisode ….
