Not everyday is glamorous in motherhood but sometime a bit of lipstick makes the difference ! I didn’t have a big smile when I breastfed for the first time, I was exhausted after giving birth and someone was as tired as me, and didn’t want to feed... how come our baby didn’t want food ?? When we are both foodies ! I was in tears and was thinking of all the women around me who breastfed their babies, how come I couldn’t ! Baby boy had an infection and my milk was partially the solution to cure it with also the antibiotics. I had to hand express my colostrum all night to give him tiny drops in a syringe. After a lot of motivation, determination and few grind teeth it works. Finally we can feed everywhere, no one noticed I was feeding at M&S yesterday ! 🥳 to our breastfeeding journey baby boy ! Une tétée avec un grand sourire et un peu de rouge à lèvres... une photo de victoire personnelle pour un allaitement qui a commencé dans une fatigue extrême et en larmes. Notre baby boy ne voulait pas téter, il a eu une infection à la naissance et n’avait pas la force de téter. J’ai donc du tirer mon l’air manuellement toute la nuit pour pouvoir lui donner dans des seringues mes précieuses gouttes. Elles contenaient les anticorps contre l’infection et grâce aux antibiotiques nous avons pu nous en débarrasser rapidement ! Après une motivation acharnée et beaucoup de determination nous y sommes arrivés !
