Royal Albert Hall

Hello !

Today I’m taking you to the Royal Albert Hall in London. We got a voucher from our London friends to have a tea time at the Royal Albert Hall for our birthdays and we never got to use them until this weekend ! It was very nice to see this building and hear about the history. We had an hour tour with a guide and she explained a lot of things, it was very impressive to see the main stage and hear all about the royal families etiquette. After the tour we headed to the Verdi restaurant for a tea time. It was a nice proper English tea time with good quality tea and some savory sandwich with salmon and cucumber, scones and little cakes.

It was a sunny day and we enjoyed the combo of the visit and the tea time. If you are in London I can tell you this one is good. Not as delicate as French pâtisserie if you are picky but still fresh and tasty.

For this special occasion I worn my new Ted Baker blue dress. When I left my former job my lovely colleagues got me a gift card and I pick this dress at House of Fraser. My mum and my bestfriend both tried it and everybody loves the texture of this dress ! It’s s dress than sculpture your curves and also gives a bit of Spandex feeling thanks to the stretchy knit fabric.

It wasn’t cheap even on sales but because I had the gift card I treated myself with it. Knit dresses are my new obsession, great for work because I don’t get too cold with the AC and also good looking for the evenings. I went for a total blue look with the Manolos from Capucine’s wedding and I added a touch of vitamines with « Lemon » my new bag, a new add to the collection of colorful bags.

Coucou !

Aujourd’hui nous partons visiter Londres et surtout le Royal Albert Hall. Nous avons reçu un bon cadeau pour aller visiter le Royal Albert Hall et faire un tea time offert par nos amis londoniens pour nos anniversaires. Nous avons fait ça un week-end et l’experience nous a plus du coup j’en profite pour vous faire un article avec un peu de Londres, comme j’ai vu que vous aviez apprécier ma story sur la City la dernière fois.

La visite a duré environ une heure, nous avions une guide très interessante, et passionnée de royauté, qui nous a expliqué tous les spectacles et le protocole si la reine venait voir un concert. C’était très impressionnant de voir la scène et d‘imaginer un concert dans un lieu aussi prestigieux.

Après notre tour, nous sommes allés au restaurant Verdi ou se trouvait le tea time. Nous avons bu du bon thé aux fleurs et au jasmin, et ensuite dégustés des petits sandwichs au concombre, des petits scones avec la confiture et la crème, des petits carottes cake, et macarons.

Le temps était à peu près ensoleillé et nous avons apprécié cette petite sortie. Nous ne sortons pas assez dans la ville pour visiter. C’est toujours le problème quand tout est à proximité, on a envie de partir loin, au soleil, et nous ne prenons pas le temps d’apprécier le pays qui nous accueille.

J’ai voulu me faire jolie pour l’occasion, je porte une robe Ted Baker, achetée à House of Fraser, avec un bon d’achat que mes anciens collègues m’ont offerts pour mon départ. Elle est très confortable et flatteuse, en tissu extensible. J’ai beaucoup le bleu électrique dans mon dressing, et j’ai remarqué que je commence à avoir pas mal de tenues de cette couleur ( qui était notamment la couleur du mariage de ma copine Capucine que vous avez pu voir ici). C’est une robe parfaite pour aller travailler avec un blazer et qui me permet de ne pas avoir froid sous la clim.

J’ai ressorti les Manolo du mariage de Capucine pour l’occasion et j’ai pris mon sac, petit dernier de la collection, surnommé citron pour sa couleur vitaminée !

Si vous passez par Londres, et que vous voulez tenter une experience anglaise mais tranquille, je vous conseil le tea time. C’est so British et la visite va très bien avec !
