I know you are maybe expecting an article on my Cuban trip, but I’m leaving you with one last winter outfit before I can take the time to write all about the colorful dresses I took for Cuba !

For today’s outfit post I’m wearing a  new baby blue sweater I found at Primark. I loved it so much that I bought it in grey as well, and we worn the blue one on our family Christmas photo this year. That was before I took the resolution to reduce my consumption of fast fashion and avoid this kind of brand, I was so busy sewing all January that I didn’t buy any clothes !

Maybe you remember this feather clutch that I had in Japan. It’s a funny clutch ( not my husband’s favorite, he thinks it’s like carrying a dead bird…) and it goes perfectly with the sweater.

We went to try a vegan restaurant that day with my sister and her boyfriend. If you are curious about vegans like me, you can try their delicious food ! It was a nice day to go out and explore Covent garden. The restaurant we tried was on Neil’s Yard, a beautiful place to visit if you’re coming to London. 

My coat is handmade, I found the fabric at Mode & Travaux/Coupons Saint Pierre and rumor has it, it’s a Dior fabric ! When brands have too much fabric from a previous collection they resell it to the Coupons, but you have to be friend with the women working there, because no one is supposed to know it. I previously bought some cotton mixed silk from Nina Ricci to make a robe and it always make me feel extra special to have a high quality fabric.

I bought two piece of fabric that might be from an old Dior collection and I made a coat with this one because it’s wool. I keep the other one for Spring, it’s a navy blue cotton fabric with ribbons embroidered, so perfect for a classic suit !

I already told you my winter hat are my go to option when the weather is uncertain and it might rain. I don’t need to carry an umbrella and my hands are free.

J’imagine que vous vous attendiez à un poste  coloré sur mon voyage à Cuba, j’y travaille ! Pour le moment je vous fait patienter avec cette tenue shootée  à Londres avant de partir pour les tropiques. J’ai trouvé ce pull « baby blue » à Primark ( avant les bonnes résolutions de ne plus acheter de vêtements dans ce genre de magasin), il est doux et sa couleur atypique m’a plu. Notre appartement est dans les tons bleus clairs et c’est une couleur apaisante que j’aime de plus en plus.  

Peut-être que vous vous rappelez de cette pochette à plumes que j’avais amené au Japon à Shirakawa, cette fois-ci c’est la version hiver. Elle ne fait pas l’unanimité mais j’aime son côté décalé et cocooning. 

Je ne vous avais pas montré ce manteau que j’ai fait l’année dernière en arrivant à Londres. Je suis partie de Paris avec deux coupons de chez Mode & Travaux venant de la maison Dior, selon la rumeur ! Lorsque les maisons de couture ont trop de tissus, ils revendent les fins de rouleaux aux Coupons Saint Pierre. Vrai ou pas, en tout cas ce tissus est de grande qualité et m’imaginer coudre un tissus Dior m’a fait son petit effet ! Son motif pied-de-poule bleu ciel et rose pâle en fait un manteau parfait pour sortir et sortir du lot. Vous avez du vous rendre compte de mon amour pour les manteaux atypiques fushia comme ici ou jaune poussin ici. Mon deuxième coupon est un tweed bleu marine brodé de rubans, il finira surement en tailleur pour l’été. 

Je me répète mais les chapeaux d’hiver sont mon option préférée pour les averses londoniennes, pas besoin de prendre de parapluie et les mains sont libres.
